After months of waiting, it looks like the trans-Tasman bubble will finally happen.
Government plans for a bubble between New Zealand and Australia are now in full swing – RNZ understands the plan is to have it in place by the end of April.
It'll mean people can finally see their friends and family, take holidays and attend weddings - all without the need for quarantine.
Tourism Industry Aotearoa chief executive Chris Roberts has been in favour of re-opening the border with Australia.
