Two-hundred jobs in Whakatane will be lost after news its paper mill is closing.

Whakatane Mill says it has lost its biggest customer, a Swiss packaging company SIG Combibloc, and the business is no longer considered economic.
The mill has been producing paper and packaging products for more than 80 years.
The Whakatane mayor, Judy Turner, spoke to Māni Dunlop.
