Aircrew on a Royal New Zealand Air Force C130 Hercules have joined the search for two people who yesterday called for help from their sinking yacht near Coromandel.
It has joined the Navy frigate Te Kaha, in the effort, which has been part of the search since the distress call was received at about half-past-six last night.
A helicopter and an Orion are also on standby to join the search.
