The National Party says the Pfizer vaccine should have been waiting and ready to roll out as soon as Medsafe gave the green light.
The opposition is putting pressure on the government over why the vaccine has yet to arrive in New Zealand despite its roll-out overseas.
Medsafe yesterday granted provisional approval for Pfizer's vaccine and the company has given assurances that the first block of doses will arrive by the end of March.
