A childcare centre in Feilding is under investigation after a raft of serious allegations were made about the mistreatment of children.
Parents and former teachers at the Pitter Patter Education Centre have told the Ministry of Education that toddlers were locked in rooms while children were smacked and fed mouldy food.
Pitter Patter, which had its licence suspended for three weeks in November, is a member of the Early Childhood Council.
Māni Dunlop spoke to the council's chief executive, Peter Reynolds.
