Parliament's Speaker, Trevor Mallard, will appear before a select committee at on o'clock to face questions about a legal dispute that cost taxpayers more than $300,000.
Mr Mallard claimed last year that a rapist was working at Parliament, leading to defamation proceedings.
The National Party has been calling for his resignation, saying they've lost confidence in him.
