Big increase in youth and Māori voters in 2020 election

This years election saw the biggest youth voter turnout in more than two decades.

Eighty-two percent of young people voted - with 94.1 percent of people aged between 18 - 24 enrolled - the highest since 1999.

Māori voter turnout in both the general and Māori roll increased by 15 percent on last election.
