Mosque terrorist's interview will not be made public

The Islamic Women's Council is backing the decision by the Royal Commission into the Christchurch terrorist shootings not to publicly release the transcript of its interview with the attacker Brenton Tarrant.

The gunman used the interview to express his motives and reveal the methods he used to conceal his attack preparations.

The Council's Anjum Rahman says it is vital the interview can't be used as a motivation for others.
