Million dollar investment will upgrade schools

The government has announced it'll spend $164 million building new classrooms and upgrading schools.

Chris Hipkins announced the Labour Party's education policy at an early childhood education centre in Porirua on 15 September 2020.

The project will address much-needed renovation and make way for growing class sizes.

It's estimated that 7,500 students will benefit from the programme, which will also generate 3,000 local jobs in the construction industry.
