New Zealanders await news of possible Alert Level change

At two-o'clock this afternoon, New Zealanders will find out whether there will be a shift in Alert Levels, following the news of a positive covid case in the community.

A 20-year-old Auckland woman, who lives in an inner-city apartment and works in a clothes shop on High St, tested positive for the virus yesterday.

This morning, Covid-19 Response Minister, Chris Hipkins, said early genomic testing results show it could be linked to the Defence Force cluster.

Māni Dunlop spoke to the University of Auckland professor, Shaun Hendy, who has modelled the spread of Covid-19 in New Zealand.
