Auckland job expo underway for early school leavers

A job expo in Auckland today has been set up with the goal of sending hundreds of early school leavers home with job offers. The Ara Education Charitable Trust has joined forces with the Ministry of social development, the Auckland Business Chamber and Auckland Airport to stage the expo. It specifically targets former students of 15 South Auckland high schools, some of whom were forced to finish their school year early because of Covid-19 - to seek work support their family financially. Māni Dunlop spoke with the Trust's school engagement manger, Sarah Redmond.
