Big rise in Māori enrolments before 2020 election

There's been a massive rise in the number of Māori who enrolled to vote ahead of the election earlier this month. An extra 59,00 Māori were enrolled to vote this year compared to the last election, an increase of about 25,000 on the MÄori roll and 34,000 on the General Roll. Te Aniwa Hurihanganui spoke to polical commentator Dr Rawiri Taonui about the figures a short time ago.
