Kapa haka campaign rallying Māori to vote

From Midday Report, 12:46 pm on 9 October 2020

The world's top kapa haka groups are taking the lead with getting Māori out to vote.

Vote Kapa Vote - is an online movement started at the 2014 election.

The goal is for each of the country's 40 kapa haka groups to nominate another to vote.

The roopu has to provide proof, and perform an item at the polling booth - and if they don't follow through, they have to pay a consequence as set out by their nominator.
