An advocate for victims of sexual abuse says a case that's come to light, where the SIS failed to pass on information that a young woman was being sexually abused, is evidence of people prioritising their own interests over those of the country's most vulnerabe.
A former agent of the Security Intelligence Service says he gathered photographic evidence of serious sexual abuse during covert entries into the man's home in the late 1980s and early '90s.
He says he was rebuffed by his supervisor when he tried to get the police involved.
