The National Party is promising to revive the Recognised Seasonal Employer, or RSE scheme, if it wins the election, as well as repealing legislation and regulations that it says ae burdonsome on farmers.
Leader Judith Collins and primary industries spokesperson David Bennett announced the agriculture policy in Gisborne this morning, which also covers water quality, the spread of forestry and methane levels.
On the RSE scheme, Mr Bennett told our rural reporter, Eric Frykberg, that Covid-free countries could supply essential staff.
