Cabinet is currently meeting to decide whether to ease the country's Covid restrictions, with a potential move to Level 1 on the cards for everywhere outside Auckland.

The Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, will announce any changes at one o'clock, which will likely to come into force at midnight tonight.
