500th survivor speaks to state abuse Royal Commission

The Royal Commission of Inquiry on abuse in State and faith-based care has held its 500th private session with survivors.

Commissioners have been travelling across the country meting individually with people to hear their accounts of abuse while they were in care between 1950 and 1999.

About 1700 people registered to speak with Commissioners.
