Iwi have a billion dollars in funds to invest going into the pandemic, according to a new study.
ANZ Bank's annual Te Tirohanga Whānui report, looked at the financial strength, assets, and collective investment capacity at the start of the year.
Its Head of Māori Relationships, David Harrison, says that although they collected the information pre-covid - they had checked in with iwi during lockdown.
He told Māni Dunlop the 35 participating iwi said they didn't see covid as having a massive impact on their investment aspirations.
