Mahuru Māori is a challenge for anyone to take up to try and speak te reo Māori for the whole month of September.
This year participants can sign up to either speak it for the whole month, an hour a day, one day per week or one week of the month.
Māni Dunlop spoke to reo expert Paraone Gloyne from Te Wānanga o Aotearoa who started the kaupapa in 2014 as a social experiment to normalise te reo in every day dealings - and Mahuru Māori continues to grow year on year.
