The first Friday prayers since the mosque attack gunman was sentenced are underway at the Linwood and Al-Noor mosques in Christchurch.

Both were targeted by the terrorist during the lunchtime Friday prayers on March 15th last year, leaving 51 dead and 40 injured.
The terrorist was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Māni Dunlop spoke to the Imam of the Al-Noor mosque, Gamal Fouda, shortly before lunchtime prayers were set to begin.
