New election date set for October 17

The Prime Minister has delayed this year's election by four weeks, with polling day now set for Saturday, October the 17th.

Jacinda Ardern said she made the decision after consulting with all party leaders and taking into account matters of safety, voter turnout, fairness and certainty.
