A change in the Pasifika Festival 2021 has left some of the smaller island villages feeling frustrated.
The Festival, run by Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development, will see a new twist to the layout of the villages, with some island countries – Tuvalu, Tokelau, Tahiti and Hawai'i – combining in a shared space.
Molia Alama Tulafono is the co-ordinator for the Tuvalu village and spoke to Māni Dunlop.
