New pregnancy tools announced for Māori

From Midday Report, 12:44 pm on 17 July 2020

A new suite of pregnancy assessment tools will help support pēpi Māori, māmā and whānau access the healthcare services they need.

The tools are supposed to make it easier for healthcare providers to offer mums and bubs the best standard of care.

And it comes after the government yesterday announced a 180-million dollar injection for midwives with 85 million of that going to rural midwives and those dealing with complex pregnancies.

Māni Dunlop spoke to the associate Minister for Health, Julie Anne Genter.
