Auckland and Waikato leaders are continuing to iron out the details of an agreement for Auckland to take an extra 75-million litres from the Waikato River each day.
The leaders, including the River Authority, Waikato-Tainui, and the local councils, had been hoping to sign off on the deal yesterday evening.
But talks continue.
