Retail NZ says 17 percent of its members - almost one in five - are still struggling to negotiate rent relief with landlords following the Covid-19 lockdown, with some being threatened with eviction.
The Government announced plans in June to subsidise 75 percent of the cost of arbitration in rental disputes between landlords and lease holders- but that proposal is still before Cabinet.
