Raucous scenes after Marian Hobbs loses Otago Council chair

The former Labour Environment Minister, Marian Hobbs, was this morning ousted as chair of the Otago Regional Council.

She's held the role since last year's October elections.

But three-quarters of councillors called for this morning's extraordinary meeting to topple Ms Hobbs.

RNZ's Otago-Southland reporter, Timothy Brown, was at the meeting and spoke to Māni Dunlop.
