District Health Boards will be overhauled and two new government health agencies created in a massive revamp of the health system.
One of those proposed agencies would be a Māori Health Authority, which would advise on all aspects of Māori health policy.
The chief executive of Māori public health organisation Hapai te Hauora is Selah Hart.
