Boost for NZ-Australia 2023 Women's Football World Cup bid

The joint bid from Australia and New Zealand to host the 2023 Women's Football World Cup has been rated the best out of the three contenders by FIFA overnight.

FIFA will announce who's won the hosting rights in just two weeks, with Japan and Colombia.the other contenders.

More than 260-million people watched last year's Women's Football World Cup final, compared with 12.8 million tuning in for the Men's Rugby World Cup final.

The chief executive of New Zealand Football, Andrew Pragnell, spoke to Te Aniwa Hurihanganui.
