A former police officer is appalled to hear police who took part in the Armed Response Teams trial failed to document their call-outs properly, or not at all.
Police were expected to record how each call out went, but in the first two months of the trial data on five out of every six callouts was missing.
Ex-officer Hurimoana Dennis told Māni Dunlop that collecting data during any police trial is crucial in order to understand how effective it is.
