The former All Black star, Dan Carter, will play for the Blues in the Super Rugby Aotearoa competition, which begins next weekend.
Carter has not played in New Zealand since he retired from international rugby in 2015, following a distinguished career with Canterbury, the Crusaders and the All Blacks, which included winning World Rugby's player of the year award three times.
Since then he's played in France and Japan.
The former All Blacks coach, Sir Graham Henry spoke to Māni Dunlop.
