Relief in Minneapolis after charges brought

From Midday Report, 12:10 pm on 4 June 2020

All four officers involved in the killing of African American man George Floyd have now been charged.

The charge against Derek Chauvin - the officer who knelt on Mr Floyd's neck until he died - has been upgraded to second degree murder, while the three other officers at the scene have been charged with aiding and abetting.

Protests across the United States continued today, and there were cheers and dancing in streets in Minneapolis when news of the charges broke.
