Waikato-Tainui initially left out of water talks

Waikato-Tainui is assuring councils it will hold them to account over decisions to allocate water from its awa.

The Auckland Council is in talks with Hamilton to receive its unused allocation of water from the Waikato River.

But Waikato-Tainui is yet to receive any direct correspondence from the Auckland Council.
