A mission to retrieve 13 searchers and two dogs in Kahurangi National Park in the Tasman region is underway, after spending the night in the rugged bush.
They were part of the search team for missing trampers Dion Reynolds and Jessica O'Connor, who were found alive yesterday after more than two weeks in the bush.
