A union that represents hotel workers says the job losses at Millennium and Copthorne Hotels is a concern for whole the industry.
Yesterday the hotel chain announced it had cut more than 900 of its 1300 jobs.
Unite Union represents a small portion of those workers, and has members at other hotels.
Its industrial officer John Crocker spoke with Māni Dunlop.
