GP: Covid-19 lockdown contributed to rheumatic fever spike

An Auckland GP says the Covid-19 lockdown has contributed to the spike in the number of children being hospitalised with acute rheumatic fever.

There's been a dramatic rise in the number of Wellington children in hospital with the dangerous disease, which can cause life-long heart problems and take years off people's lives
