Auckland Council faces $550,000 shortfall in income

Auckland Council expects its revenue to fall by more than half a billion dollars because of the Covid-19 crisis.

The country's largest city receives 60 percent of its money from concerts, leisure centres, operations at Ports of Auckland, dividends from Auckland Airport shares, parking and public transport fares.

But new analysis shows income from those sources has dried up because of Covid-19.
