National MPs are meeting on the third floor of Parliament, ready to cast their votes for the party leadership.
Simon Bridges called the vote after it became clear Todd Muller and Nikki Kaye wanted to challenge him and Paula Bennett for the top two positions.
The vote comes off the back of two disastrous polls for National, with the party gaining just 29 percent in last night's 1 News Colmar Brunton poll, following a 30.6 precent showing in Monday's Newshub-Reid Research Poll.
