There has been surprise and confusion from two of New Zealand's largest media companies, after NZME announced it plans to buy Stuff – for just one dollar – in a market announcement this morning,
NZME asked the government to urgently allow the sale
But Stuff's owner, Australia's Channel Nine, says talks were wrapped up last week with no deal in place.
