Some early childhood centres reopen, but concerns remain

From Midday Report, 12:43 pm on 29 April 2020

Some early childhood centres reopened for limited numbers of children today, despite concerns from the sector that they posed a health risk to the wider community.

The Early Childhood Council, which represents 13-hundred childcare services across the country - had asked for centres to remain closed until the country moved to Level 2, because of the greater chance of spreading Covid-19 should one of the children contract it.

The Early Childhood Council's chief executive, Peter Reynolds, speaks with Māni Dunlop.
