Restaurants want cap on delivery company commissions

Restaurant owners want the government to cap third party delivery companies' commission rates.

The Restaurant Association says Uber Eats charges the most, with a 30 to 35 percent commission rate on all orders, meaning those meals are often sold at a loss.

The Association's chief executive, Marisa Bidois, told Māni Dunlop restaurants want to be able to sell food -- but not at the expense of their business.
