NZME cuts 200 jobs in response to Covid-19 downturn

Media company NZME, owner of The New Zealand Herald and half of the country's commercial radio networks, is cutting 200 jobs due to the downturn in revenue caused by Covid-19.

The redundancies - about 15 per cent of its workforce - come almost two weeks after one of New Zealand's leading magazine publishers, Bauer Media, closed with the loss of 237 jobs.
