Matariki across Te Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa

The rise of Pleiades is an important cluster across Te Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa, the Pacific Ocean. In Maohi Nui, colonised as French Polynesia, the cluster is known as Matari'i. In her role with the Tahiti Voyaging Society, India Teballini has sailed using the stars right across the Pacific, and in 2019, she was on the vaka Fa'afaite from Tahiti to Aotearoa.
