Ngati Tuwharetoa ariki Sir Tumu Te Heuheu

Ta Tumu became the ariki, paramount chief, of Ngati Tuwharetoa after the death of his father Sir Hepi Te Heuheu in 1997. Now in his early 80s he sees the return of the maunga of the central North island to his iwi as the last great battle of his life. He also talks about his own aspirations for Maoridom and his advice to the next ariki of Ngati Tuwharetoa.
