Mapuna Deep Dive 7 June 2025

Husband and wife duo Courtney and Tua Karalus founded the Waikato based company, Deep Dive Division, which recently won the Maori Company of the Year at the New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards. Deep Dive is a commercial, scientific and robotic diving company which was started in 2018 and is guided by Te Ao Maori and Pacific worldviews and Matauranga Maori. They've also hauled more than 40 vehicles and tonnes of rubbish out of the Waikato river.
