American filmmaker Josh Safdie, known for his work with brother Benny, has wrote and directed films such as Daddy Longlegs, Good Time, Uncut Gems, and more recently as a solo effort, Marty Supreme. Josh sits down with Sam Hollis ahead of the release of Marty Supreme in Aotearoa.
Marty Supreme is the latest from director, producer, co-writer, and co-editor Josh Safdie.
Safdie is best known for the films he made with his brother Bennie as “The Safdie Brothers”, with hits including Good Time and Uncut Gems.
Set in 1950s New York, Marty Supreme stars Timothee Chalamet as Marty Mauser, an amateur table tennis player who dreams of superstardom.
Four-time nominee Timothée Chalamet won his first Golden Globe award for his critically acclaimed performance in Josh Safdie's Marty Supreme recently.
