One man in Nelson is hoping the local body elections on October 8th will see him become the youngest mayor in New Zealand's history at the age of 22.
Rohan O'Neill-Stevens has already served two and half years on the Nelson council, having been elected in the 2019 elections when he was just 20.
His age is drawing a lot of attention but Rohan doesn't think it's a big deal -- "competency" should be the bench mark for Mayor.
