Satellite images have revealed that Russia have deployed military trained dolphins at their naval base in the Black Sea, possibly for the purpose of protecting their fleet from an underwater attack. The US Naval Institute identified that two dolphin pens were moved to the base in February at the start of Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. Professor Rochelle Constantine is a biologist from the University of Auckland and specialises in marine research and mammals.
