Mosque shooting survivor on day one of walk for peace

A survivor of the Christchurch mosque shootings has just finished the first day of his 350 kilometre walk from Dunedin to Christchurch. He's walking in the name of peace to reclaim the path taken by the terrorist. Temel Atacocugu was praying at Al Noor Mosque on March the 15th, 2019 when the massacre unfolded, and was shot nine times. He left the Octagon in Dunedin this afternoon, to walk more than 350 kilometres to Al Noor Mosque and Linwood Islamic Centre.
