Today it was reported that after 22 years of research - in a partnership between US and Australian maritime archaeologists - the remains of the Endeavour, the ship that Cook captained on his maiden voyage to Australia and New Zealand in 1770, had been discovered in Newport Harbour in Rhode Island in the US. However, the American research partners disagree, saying "There are many unanswered questions that could overturn such an identification,". Joining us now is Dr Nigel Erskine the Honorary Research Associate for the project with the National Maritime Museum of Australia.
