Penguin Place is a private conservation reserve in Otago, set up 36 years ago to help save the yellow-eyed penguin from extinction. Today Conservation Minister Kiri Allan announced the centre will be receiving $633,000 in funding through the Government's Jobs for Nature scheme. Joining us is Rehabilitation manager Jason Van Zanten who says the assistance Penguin Place gives to Otago Peninsula's yellow-eyed penguins was vital to their survival.
